    Vsantha Bhavan was earlier Lavanya,'Situated at 10 Macdonalds Road, It was the residence of Mr S Gopaliengar and Dr C.R Chari his son in law a reputed surgeon. It was a fantastic building and an art deco masterpece,situated as it was in a prominent junction of Royal Road,Mc Donalds Road and William's Road We were a very happy joint family of 6 cousins who all studied in Vestry School Lavanya is situated in one corner of what was Dr Rajans Clinic which was the entire property bounded by Royal Road all the way around the Pudukottaiu Bus stand and down the road to State Bank of India and back up Macdonalds Road The only property which did not belong to Dr rajan in this enclave was the Railway House
